 Ownership society...

That's one of the Bush quips while he was in office. Al Qaeda--the base. He mentioned that in a meeting. He said he had his base. The haves and the have mores.
Democracy is the way the brochure reads. America is a democracy, rule of by and for the people. I am on an online dating site okcupid.com every day or so someone writes something political. The left is right the right is right. Something of the sort. To suggest they are both wrong would boggle the mind i suppose or upset the senses. They can't both be corrupt because then we would basically have no choice in a free society. Bingo.
Woodrow Wilson said he had done a terrible thing when he got out of office having handed the federal reserve system to private banks. Took a big bribe. Of course he never did anything to undo what he did. Continued to ride his horse, visit his girlfriend. Eat breakfast with his wife, travel europe. Just felt like he was a bad president, had nightmares occasionally, no biggy really.
What's the point? The point is maybe there will be a tipping point and we will take our land back. Maybe not. Maybe I will jog my brain into doing something worthwhile. Maybe someone will chime in and a group will be started and the snowball will begin?
I prefer being married over single. However in the past I have chosen women that wanted me to serve them. As a person with a mission i need a helper. Biblically speaking that is the model. I will make a help mate for him. Hope springs eternal. Peace, out.

 Nobody cares...

I was praying today and talking to God. I asked him about the older generation the status quo. The "greatest generation" so to speak. As we were talking about government corruption and revival and what not the usual. During this conversation God says "they don't care". Hard to believe. I watched several shows the last two days from well established older ministers and enjoyed them.
In light of this recent conversation I have to wonder what is next. Moses and his gang walked around the wilderness for 40 years. They lost people through sin and attrition but had the fire by night and the cloud by day to lead them. They laid Moses to rest and then began the taking of the promised land.
Let's assume this takes place. What will be the difference between this generation and the last one? I would have to say less competition and more working together. I believe the most important thing is to get the gospel to the world.
Hopefully there would be more interdependency. Some people are better at harvesting money some at preaching the gospel in foreign lands. Etc., etc.
While I write this the tornadoes the worst in 40 years has taken about 300 people and counting. It reminds me of the repost from Ben Stein I posted this morning or yesterday.
Will there be a generation that will stand up and pray for our nation to repent? A nation that will put it's political leaders into account for a war of lies where stealing and murdering are taking place? Or is it just a pipe dream? A hope of some old hippies that love Jesus and long for the days when a christian nation will act like one. Time will tell. This blog site ends in a few days and I will need to find a new one. Hopefully it will be just as nice. Thank you to the people that have run Blogstream and may you find something else good to do next! Peace and God bless!

 In light of yesterday's tornadoes.

The following was written by Ben Stein and recited by him on CBS Sunday Morning Commentary.

My confession: I am a Jew, and every single one of my ancestors was Jewish. And it does not bother me even a little bit when people call those beautiful lit up, bejeweled trees, Christmas trees. I don't feel threatened. I don't feel discriminated against. That's what they are, Christmas trees.

It doesn't bother me a bit when people say, 'Merry Christmas' to me. I don't think they are slighting me or getting ready to put me in a ghetto. In fact, I kind of like it. It shows that we are all brothers and sisters celebrating this happy time of year. It doesn't bother me at all that there is a manger scene on display at a key intersection near my beach house in Malibu. If people want a creche, it's just as fine with me as is the Menorah a few hundred yards away.

I don't like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don't think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians. I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around, period. I have no idea where the concept came from, that America is an explicitly atheist country. I can't find it in the Constitution and I don't like it being shoved down my throat.

Or maybe I can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we should worship celebrities and we aren't allowed to worship God as we understand Him? I guess that's a sign that I'm getting old, too. But there are a lot of us who are wondering where these celebrities came from and where the America we knew went to.
In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke; it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking.

Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her 'How could God let something like this happen?' (regarding Hurricane Katrina). Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said, 'I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?'

In light of recent events..... terrorists attack, school shootings, etc. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found a few years ago) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK.
Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school. The Bible says 'Thou shalt not kill'; 'Thou shalt not steal,' and 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' And we said OK.

Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave, because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem We said an expert should know what he's talking about. And we said okay. (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide.)

Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves.

Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with 'WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.'

Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says. Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing. Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.

Are you laughing yet? Funny how when you forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it.

Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.

Pass it on if you think it has merit. If not, then just discard it . .. no one will know you did. But, if you discard this thought process, don't sit back and complain about what bad shape the world is in.

My best regards, honestly and respectfully,
Ben Stein

 Where america stands with God...

I was watching TBN last night and Dwight Thompson was praying at the end. He was praying God's protection over our president and our troops it all sounded very nice and comforting. Sadly I don't think prayers like that will do any good. God isn't Santa Claus and God also doesn't back evil. Corporate interests brought us into the middle east for oil and God isn't in the business of lying, stealing and murdering which is what we are doing there.
On the other hand when you have good ministers praying like that who have been around since the dinosaurs it can be confusing for the saints. That's why its important we pray according to knowledge or pray in the spirit.
Verse for today.
Matthew 21:42Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.
And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder. (end)
